I propose we simply deem it offensive to compare anyone to an ape, monkey, orangutan, etc etc. its a joke that relies on picking on someones looks.

We see Kimmel, Colbert, Bee and others compare Trump to an orangutan on a daily basis. We cant send mixed signals to the public and say its ok to mock his looks but not this persons!

yes but this show was a hit. it had historic ratings. and was renewed for another season....only they reversed that after her tweet. shows do get canceled, but it's rare for a show to be canceled cause the star tweeted something racist. that was the only reason it was canceled. the show was making alot of money

As I understand it she had already been warned by the network to tone it down. The tweet was the last straw.

That might be true, but if you look at Trump's tweets it was a complete surprise to him too. ABC had no business cancelling the show without first consulting Trump; it was a real shitty move on their part.

So, Samantha Bee gained her fame from Whose Line Is It Anyway, which unlike Rosanne is actually a widely watched and highly regarded show. In fact I thought that's why she was in the press these days, I didn't realize she had a show.

it used to be. you must be too young to remember. Rosanne used to be very popular. that's why they brought it back over 20 years later.

Sure Roseanne has a show. The standard of good there is equivalent to average daytime cable shows, like Home Improvement. Pretty much the lowest bar in all of media. I guess some people like that stuff but you won't catch me watching it on purpose anyway.

You are aware that unlike Obama's daughters--both of whom are little girls and who don't work for their father in the White House--that Ivanka is a grown woman who works for her father in the White house, right?
