Should she have disclosed to the guy that she was trans before agreeing to dance with him.

The guy asked several times and was told no several times but the girl eventually relented for a pity dance.

Then the guys friends tell him she is trans and he attacks her to the point she had to go to the hospital.

Fuck this guy.

Right, but there were people around. A simple cry for help would've saved that person. I don't understand why people keep things bottled up.

Of course, hindsight is always 20/20.

YES, this situation probably wouldn't have had occurred if she'd just told him ahead of time that she was trans. Trans people have got to start telling potential partners ahead of time, if only for their own safety.

Yes, it really sucks that this is the case. Let me stress that morally, she is 100% in the right and this guy is a horrible, horrible person. I wish we lived in a world where trans people didn't have to live in fear like this. Hopefully we will someday.

She had the opportunity to tell him every time he asked. Even at the end, when she relented, she could have said "fine, but I'm trans. So if you're fine with that, then..."

I saw something similar happen once. A drunk dude was hitting on some girl. His friends were trying to tell him that she was trans. He was drunk and didn't want to believe it. They eventually started making out.

I think she told him like a minute afterwards. The dude shoved her down but his friends pulled him off when he was going in for some punches. The mob then threw bottles at him and stuff. It was starting to get really ugly. The group ran out pretty quickly.
