Board 8 > Mass Effect - Where I am now - How am I doing? (spoilers)

So, I think I have broken the game. I got to a fight in Noveria that seemed nigh unwinnable with Benezia. I actually thought maybe it was a fight I had to lose. Throughout this fight, I slowly learned some things.

1. Marksman is broken.
2. Min maxxing
3. How to use biotics.

So, I beat her. Saved the alien Ranzis or whatever from annihilation. From there, I started sidequesting. I am now level 38. I have these store bought weapons that blow everything away. 2x rail extension VII's on them. A Shredding Round VII for +40% damage to synthetics. And comparable mods and weapons on garrus and wrex.

We just shred everything. I regularly get out of my vehicle and just kill huge monsters from the ground. More xp that way.

I need 2 more light metals, 1 more heavy metal, 2 league medallions, 1 prothean, 2 turian medallions. I just did some digging site and saved some woman to become a party member. I have vimeire and feros left.

I get really pissed when they introduce a system and there is a bunch of planets and none have anything besides the one place ur spose to go. I thought for sure the vermire place was going to help me finish my quests with medallions or surveys. Literally nothing besides the planet of the mission.

I'm about 5 years removed from ME1 with 3 other games in between and don't exactly remember what you're referring to.

You can survey planets or land on them or do nothing to them. The vimeire system is like 5 planets and none of them are surveryable or landable on besides the actual mission planet. That is lame.

If you still want to go sidequesting, don't land on Virmire. It's effectively the Point of No Return. You can still explore the galaxy after it, but you only get to visit the Citadel once more and then lose access to it.

Oh... So I should do Feros first then. I thought someone before suggested to go to virmire as soon as you possibly could.

Oh, right, I misremembered that then. It's not Virmire specifically, just 'whichever of the four main missions you do last'. I thought Virmire had to be done after the other three.

I don't know how you feel about doing all the sidequests but you could just let the collectibles be. The reward for them isn't huge iirc.

ME is fun and I hope you have fun. Haven't played 1 in aeons though, so I can't say too much about it.

I thought the collectibles would have came with doing the sidequesting. I think I completed most the sidequesting. Only one left I can think of is the you have a fan one. Unless I missed quests somewhere.
