this raises an interesting question. if TC hates male feminists who care a lot about women's rights, how does he feel about females who support MRAs, male-dominated gender roles, and hate feminism?

The females who support MRAs and hate feminism are usually on a much different field than male feminists. Those said females along with TC and others probably realize that there are preferences and biological factors that make particular jobs more or less appealing.

Nothing wrong if a female wants a predominantly male job or vice versa but there's good reason for why things are the way they are.

I love how much you can tell about a person when they refer to women as females.

I used female and male as a response to a quote using those same words.

You can replace them for "women" and "men" if it makes it easier to read for you.

I'm also curious to hear how much you think you know about me based on that post lol.

He awkwardly used female once - you exclusively referred to women as females.

It's hard to take men talking about feminism seriously at times, because even when they try to defend women they really lack the understanding that comes from being a woman, and they don't consider that not all women agree with every "feminist" idea. You kind of hear different generations of feminists disagree with each other from time to time, and for a man to assume he understands as well as either is a little naive on some level.

I do think part of it is an alternative strategy to pick up chicks like the SJW's who defend one issue or another furiously on a forum board, but then go on XBLA, and are as bad as anyone else.

the literature is there. it's possible to read it. I've read more feminist theory than many women I know.

it's important to realize that a lot of what people see online doesn't really have anything to do with feminist theory it's just women talking about their experiences. there's nothing wrong with that of course, and there's definitely a place for it, but it's an entirely different thing from actually talking about feminism

I've been reading /r/MensLib more and more lately (though, as usual, I never comment). I never do get the obsession with hypermasculinity people seem to have, especially online. If you do X or Y it makes you "less of a man", or the thinly veiled attempts to show Low T/"feminine behavior"/"emasculating" activities as a way to that someone is not just less of a man, but less of a person. As if the sum total of someone's worth is based on how well they conform to societal gender role.

There's no set gender roles in my relationship, and that's fine. We cook depending on who has an interesting idea. I do dishes and she takes care of the catbox. She drives and I help keep the car clean. She makes art and I make sure she has the environment and tools to do so.

That said, I agree with mainstream feminism far more than I do its backlash; I view it as a way for men to be better and more free with what they choose to do as well.
