A small part of that Empire (if the entire British Empire would have fought the US rebels, the US would have been crushed easily), and only one country in a continent (because you sure as hell haven't conquered the rest of North America), which you conquered by massacring the actual Americans who were already living there. And they sure as hell didn't triumph over those evils, seeing as how they (Nazis and Russians) are still causing trouble today. Also, his ancestors were German. They had no part in the foundation of the US.

Trump is using basic language (words you can look up, believe it or not) to describe the success of our country over time, which obviously includes the participation of many different races, creeds, and cultures that made America what it is today.

Believe it or not, when Trump says "we" or "our" or "us"---he's referring to a very diverse group of people.

Who said you have to give up anything? It's about not celebrating or proclaiming proudly the history of how it happened. Slavery happened, does it mean Americans or other historical slaving empires/nations should celebrate their slaving history?

Absolutely not, who does? Nobody is throwing "Slavery Day" parades lol.

Difference is we seem to be the only nation that can't seem to let it go and move on, and blame our shortcomings on "but slavery". If we spent half as much time, money and effort improving things as we did going on about "but slavery" and feeling guilty/angry and issuing/demanding apologies then we'd probably be in a much better place. FFS there's cucklords out there raising their children to believe they should put minorities on a pedestal and apologize for everything and basically hate themselves for being born white. This is a ridiculous argument. Firstly, no one is saying that. You are straw-manning the hell out of this issue.

Second, the point is that the federal government should not pretend that mistakes were not made when dealing with the Indigenous inhabitants of America because it's not only an insult to the people that were already here but also reeks of 'Those who don't learn history are doomed to repeat it".

Third, the problem is not merely 'how the land was acquired', but actually that systems were put in place to actively commit genocide against a people who still exist today and now no longer have a home to go back to. They are literally strangers in their homeland who have suffered countless abuses including having their culture made illegal, having their people genocided, having biological warfare committed against them, having deals made to them fall through constantly, and having people tell them once again that it was all for their own good because propaganda like this continually paints them as mindless, subhuman savages. So maybe show some fucking understanding here.
