So you have an ungodly amount of student loans and majored in something that is only able to land you an $18.50 an hour job in a city where $18.50 is more like $12.00 an hour in a place where cost of living is reasonable?

I never graduated. Made it to 91 credits, 78 of which counted towards my degree because I switched freshman year, then took a semester off because I was burned out. And money was an issue so I wasn't getting into classes I needed and was retaking classes as a part time student since year 3 just to have enough credits to keep the student loan payments off my ass.

Then the semester I took off everything went to shit and it took me 3 years to get right again financially and legally. By that time it was impossible to graduate before my credits started were set to expire. So I stated working and transferred my credits to community college. Lost like 60%, but that's better then a hundred. And 2k per semester is cheaper then 8.

I can't imagine why someone would want to move out. Living with your parents means way less living expenses. I got a separated basement now, and turned it into my own man cave.

Why waste your money?

Temporarily. Then eventually they'll go to a retirement home or something and the house is mine

Denver here as well. This week I've been considering buying a house(like a townhome I guess) and I don't know if I'm ready to jump in yet. I don't know if I'll be here longer than another 5 years, and part of me just wants to keep saving and wait for the market to stabilize.

My rent hasn't been too bad, and I'll be moving in with girlfriend once my lease expires, so I'm in no pinch in regards to rent prices

Our mortgage (with property taxes) is around $4k a month but my husband and I make around $240k together. I never had student loans because I studied in Canada and my husband never went to college.

I make $14 an hour in one of the most expensive states to live, so I still live with my parents. This wont change because Ive never had an education and Im not smart enough for a high paying job.

I wish there was high paying manual labor jobs that didnt require me to think but Im fucked.

My girlfriend's friend is borderline re[censor] and she makes $88K here in NY. She worked for PSEG the power company on Long Island for four years reading meters. She took some test for some job and got training, failed the test like six times because she is so dumb, barely passed and now makes 100K with overtime. Use your money to take civil service tests and such, and also apply to the MTA or whatever major transportation company runs your state. Get in the door with a shit job, then take tests and training to move up internally. blue collar guys have a good career path if they play it right. you just sound lazy and clueless.

My best friend makes about as much money as I do(~92K) and he's a corrections officer.
