It's true for the last three high profile cases where cops were accused of racially motivated misconduct. Badge cam footage exonerated all of them. I wonder when the Washington Post is going to publish a piece detailing this trend (like they did with the "white women calling the police on black people" thing).

It's true for the last three high profile cases where cops were accused of racially motivated misconduct. Badge cam footage exonerated all of them. If i was a cop i would want a body cam 24/7

I'm a mechanic and have been saved by my shops security cameras numerous times. Im just trying to work hard and do my job and have Customers accusing me of stealing bags out of their car or damaging bumpers/ cracking windshields. Sometimes they really believe it, other times they are clearly trying to cause trouble and get stuff for free.

Knowing i have absolute proof i did nothing wrong if a nice feeling to have. I don't have to stress if my word will be believed over theirs.
Unfortunately there are blind spots and i wish there were not.

Being a cop and dealing with accusations like this the stakes are SO much higher. I would be terrified to not wear one tbh. Even if you are cleared of an accusation legally, if theres no camera footage people are just going to assume you're another corrupt cop getting off easy.
