do you just not like isometric rpgs? because I hate them, and then I played divinity original sin II and it blew my mind and I had a new opinion

Yeah, I don't like any of those early 2000s isometric RPGs. Fallout, Baldur's Gate, Planescape, and anything similar. Dragon Age Origins took the formula used in those games and modernized it, making for a much more palatable experience, and I loved Dragon Age Origins. It sort of spoiled me, because when I went back to play these older games, I absolutely couldn't stand them.

I have played Divinity Original Sin, the first one, and didn't really like it either. It also felt somewhat slow, and I felt like I was meandering a lot of the time. Great sidequests, however, so I'll give it props for that. Maybe I'll go back and do coop with my brother some day. It definitely seems like it has the potential to be far and away better than Planescape.

I didn't think DMC2 was as outright bad as people claim it to be, but it was a huge disappointment in a lot of ways.

It was some civil war fps. I think the history channel had some involvement in it.

Is it this?

Edit: Sorry, I cant get the link to work.

Yes. That was it. I thought the Civil War setting would be cool. That didn't make up for the dreadfully slow and boring gameplay. A FPS with muzzle loading muskets just isn't much fun. Even the guns that weren't muzzle loaders took a long time to reload. While historically accurate, it wasn't fun to play. Medicare graphics and clunky gameplay all around the way I remember it.

Diablo 3.

The company behind it, the games behind it, the hype, the amount of money put into it, all of those made us believe the game was going to absolutely blow our tits off. What we got was an absolute shitshow that hasn't gotten any better.

There has never been a bigger gaming disappointment for me than that game, but post-Activision Blizzard is nothing but disappointments.

Well my memory isn't good enough to remember every game I've played but, out of the ones I own, I have to choose... well... ah damn it! I didn't want to do a tie. I really didn't but I honestly can't decide which game is worse: Instruments of Chaos starring Young Indiana Jones (Sega Genesis) or Taz-Mania: The Search for the Lost Seabirds (Game Gear). If anyone has ever bought any of these two games expecting frolic and fun then I am sorry. I am so... so sorry.

Dishonorable mentions: Castlevania: The Adventure (GB), Mortal Kombat 4 (GBC) and Top Gear Dare Devil (PS2). Eugh...
