Half of Shitpudden is filler. Literally half of 500 episodes. It's rough. The beginning is really slow, but it has a lot of good moments later.

Both the anime and manga suck ass. Manga just sucks less, so if you're gonna subject yourself to this terrible series in the first place, just read the manga.

Everything but the last arc is great. It literally just became nonsense. I just gave up and read it and watched the cool episodes. But imo it has some of the best arcs of all anime I watched

The akatsuki arc is awesome. Kakuzu and hidan is such a great arc, jirayai and pain, naruto and pain. I think the reason naruto ended so badly was because it was so afraid to show any real repercussions and nobody ever died. The very few deaths were so obvious because all of sudden. Side characters got a bunch of interesting background story. They literally walking dead the characters

I've watched every episode minus the filler and it was still a huge trudge to go through it. I won't go through that again >_>

I remember watching part 1 back in the day not knowing it was filler.

Like Jiraiya taking Naruto and Sakura to look for Orochimaru. Or Anko taking them to look for Orochimaru.

After a while it occurred to me that they were not gonna catch him til part 2.

The Guy fight was definitely a dumb part of that arc. The Sakura Chiyo fight made up for it tho imo. But filler aside, Shippuden gets really good and peaks around the Itachi and Pain fights. Whether you like the War arc depends on who you are and what you expect from the series.
