How do you feel about them retconning Johnny's change of attitude towards Daniel? They cut the part where he personally hands Daniel the trophy after losing when they show the final fight scene.

I'm iffy on it, honestly. They had to do it for the story, but it's kind of a step backwards.

That said, this show is really good, I love all the references to the original.

It's never brought up in the series and it was never shown in the flashbacks so at the very least I'd say it's a soft retcon.

Just cuz he handed him the trophy doesnt mean they d become best friends all of a sudden

Matter of fact dwelling on it all this time prolly just made him that much more bitter and as shown, delusional to how everything went down

I thought it fit that he did that in the original. This was before Kreese choked him so for a moment you actually saw the real Johnny.

The bitterness had plenty of time to come back afterward in the parking lot when we got to see Kreese respond to Johnny
