puzzle platformer metroidvania known for being convoluted and for people who enjoy difficult puzzles or using a walkthrough

I like the first la mulana but I've never beaten it nor the super optional dungeon *shudders*.

Now if only Bloodstained Ritual of the night(Rotn) would come out as well this year.

I don't know much about what DC does nowadays, but I'm sure you'll find UltraJMan streaming it day one if you like the idea of a group-thought playthrough where everyone is helping each other figure out the secrets. That's how it was with him for when the La-mulana remake was first release for the wiiware. We had a lot of fun and a group playthrough was almost essential because it was only in japanese at the time so all we had to solve the puzzles was the knowledge of the 05' release, ha

I'm sure it will be easier with this game actually coming out in english at release :p
