Elizabeth is an adult and girls used colloquially does not mean children to people who know how f***ing English works

Sounds like a bunch of semantics to me. Ellie is most technically a girl and falls under the definition of a girl.

Being pretty and sexy aren't one in the same. One doesnt imply the other.

Shut the fuck up

Someone's past behaviour shouldn't account for that moderation, though. This topic isn't discussing which video game girl you'd plow in bed, though it seems most interpreted it that way.

It's calling for pretty video game characters that are female. So if a young girl can't be called pretty, and is certainly not ugly either, then what's the middle line?

Is it just me or does this actually sound rational? Hard to believe this was overlooked on CE.

Call a young girl ugly (fictional I might add)= Okay, whatever.

Call a young girl pretty (fictional I might add) = "you sick, sick MONSTER"

I mean, there's no other way to look at it.

Excuse me but I could've sworn Ellie was what we call a "girl".

Im pretty sure tc meant legal adults you fucking creep

To be fair, the TC really set that tone by choosing a very young-looking chick. And it does say "girls" while not specifying a sexual attraction. If anything, what he's posted is closer to what the TC did than many of the other people in here.

Likewise most English speakers know the difference between "minor" and "child" because child implies a far younger age. And, of course, most native speakers (in developed nations, anyway) know better than to refer to a woman in her 20s or older as a girl because that's dismissive and sexist. Girl strongly implies youth and, given that the TC chose the very young-looking Elizabeth (who looks 15 or 16), it suggests that the choices discussed aren't people to perv out over.

So there are some folks here that believe calling someone pretty implies sexual attraction.

If a grown woman called another young girl "pretty" no one would bat an eye, but hey. It's only creepy when a man does it. To a fictional character nonetheless.

dont make this into meninist rhetoric.

this isn't some isolated instance. volkswagon has a reputation on the board for creeping on both real, and fictional children because he himself says so. he even creeps on the younger looking cegals.

im sure you already knew that tho

There is no middle on CE. Everything is always perfectly black and white here

Oh, plus talks about alts while on an alt with like what, 10% of its potential karma? This account is far newer and even it has more karma than yours.
