If you stay at most normal hotels, no. That would be an upper crust lodging thing, and to certain people

If you have a heart you leave a few bucks for the people cleaning up after you. Etiquette 101 really.

Tipping at the front desk can also help get you a better room in some nicer places. For example in Vegas when you check in if you give the person a twenty and ask for a room upgrade you'll usually get it. Sometimes its just being moved higher up to a strip view but other times they gave you a bigger room. It helps if you do some research and known what bigger rooms are available.

I usually don't want my room cleaned at a hotel so I don't tip.

Maybe hook them up with some dental insurance too. Pay for little Katie's new braces. Who else is gonna do it, their employer?

Every time my cousins and I go to Vegas we collect those escort cards on the streets until we have hundreds then when it's time to leave the hotel we spread them all out on a table and that's our tip

I dont tip at hotels. Im not a disgusting person and keep the room clean. I never use baggage service. Ever. Not tipping some dude for each of my bags. I can take them to my room myself. I only tip if I use baggage check and thats usually only at like Universal or Disney.

I always leave at least a $5 bill on the dresser when I'm staying at a casino hotel. If it was a profitable night I leave more. It's just the right thing to do.

I always figured that was just in fancy places, or at the very least if you have the maid in to clean every day. I don't travel a lot and typically don't stay at the same hotel more than 2 or 3 days so never had the maid in to clean or anything, and don't really leave a mess, so I never thought there was any reason to tip. >_>

Kind of like the "tip" spot on the receipt on a to-go order. No one was waiting on me so I don't get it. >_>
