Never used uber before. Receipt says total was $16.xx. I see that amount and an additional $7 on my credit card.

I would say occasionally I will get a charge from uber and then get refunded like a day later. Usually it's only like a dollar or two at most though.

It might be your credit card. Is it a Mastercard, or American Express? The latter, I have observed, are charged additional fees depending on where and what you use it on.
