I'm conversational with Trent Opaloch (was DoP on shit like District 9, Winter Soldier, Civil War, Infinity War). Met through a college thing (he graduated several years ahead of me though)
Met Kevin Smith a few times when I lived in the States. To my utter shock he remembered me after the first time. I've met a lot of famous people in passing (comes with the job) but I'm definitely not "friends" with any of them. There is a story in my family that we are distantly related to Sir Michael Caine. He is apparently my Great Great Aunt's son. Dunno if it's true though and don't particularly care.

went to same class with this guy when he was just a backup singer for a relatively famous group:
