Oh, I wasted my time doing that too. Took forever just to go from level 10 to 20, then I used covet and it didn't even work. Then I just decided to catch every pidgeotto.

When quilava uses smokescreen one time and you proceed to miss with your next 14 attacks. Game is rigged I swear, just like how every trainers pokemon literally never get hurt in confusion and wake up from sleep on the first possible turn 90% of the time

Yup, they recover so fast when they get confused/sleepy

Tododile is badass doe, he knows ice fang and crunch which is better than my squirtle. The elite 4 for johto are different right? I don't remember lol

Yes, I'm not even underleveled and I still don't stand a chance. Totodile is level 24 already and still gets 2 hit by scythers non-STAB pursuit. wtf?

I only have 4 pokemon, and I lose at least two just to get past pinsir. Bellsprout and sandshrew just get knocked out in one hit so they're useless. Pinsir knocks out onix in two hits with vital throw and scyther one hits it with vacuum wave. No way for me to paralyze or put it to sleep. There's no decent spot to train either

For what

There's a quest in goldenrod city where you put a security guard to sleep, but you have to have a pokemon in your party that knows sleep powder or spore

I have one that knows hypnosis and another that knows stun spore but they won't accept that so i have to train a fucking caterpie now ._.

You can catch something outside goldenrod that has one of those. I forget what. Paras oddish or something

i'll check oddish doe, i forgot about that one. belsprout too, but he's pretty far away from here iirc

All I had to do was level up totodile 1 more time for a bit of extra defense and hp and I beat him without a problem. smh this game

Radio director gavin was easier to beat than the regular trainers in the underground basement lmao

I haven't fought him but these guys down here sure are tough lol, i get tons of exp

The first trainer swept me spamming mega drain with gloom and I had to go back and heal after every 1-2 trainers because bellsprout and sandshrew faint so easily, but then I beat gavin without anyone fainting
