for those wondering why people are excited about Generations Ultimate compared to World

After all the unreleased DLC monsters are out, World will have about 37 large monsters with a good 1/3 of them resembling some sort of dragon/wyvern

GU has 94 large monsters that are just a larger variety of monster types including snakes, gorillas, mammoths, baboons, beetles, chameleons, rhinos, spiders, frogs and a bunch of others I would have a hard time describing

I've only played World. I'm pretty addicted to it, so I want to get this but I heard it doesn't have the QoL adjustments that apparently make the series bearable. How concerned should I be going into it?

Also, how is this related to 4 Ultimate? I own it, but I don't want to start it if this is just like an updated version of it.

And while it does lack the quality of life features you should have gotten accustomed to what to expect from the series through playing World so it should be an easier transition

Generations does have holding A to gather/carve instead of having to press it each time, which is probably the most important quality of life change of all. People overstate the hell out of the QoL changes in World, sure it is more streamlined in a lot ways and I do appreciate it, but the whole "World made the series playable!" thing is absurd.

Yeah, it's not unlike starting with a later game in any series and then working backwards, you'll lose certain improvements, but because you're already used to the general flow of the game you'll get accustomed quickly.

I remember hearing that they changed some of the Prowler stuff in XX, but I don't know exactly what. I think they were nerfed? If true, that's kind of a bummer. I liked how they were just as viable as a normal hunter

Boomerang prowler was nerfed a little I think but Beast Prowler is now a thing so that melee cats are actually good. How good I'm not sure, but I'm hyped to play it <3

Did they fix the RNG bullshit as well? I hated that getting the best cat was entirely luck based

I'm pretty sure yeah. It's a lot easier to customize your cats from what I remember.
