Or is it too late? The majority of the main cast are still around as far as i know of so i guess you could get most of the people who worked on the 1st 3 movies back to make a 4th one.

It's not too late. Gale and Zemeckis just don't want to ruin the first 3 by doing a 4 because they believe these new sequels to old movies have all been trash.
