Yes, and I let my wife know that before we got married, but she chose to take my last name legally while using her maiden name to keep working as a professional name in her field.

I got this out if the way very early on in my relationship with my fiance. I have no problem with a woman wanting to keep her last name, she's simply not welcome in my family.
