I want a device whose sole purpose is to connect to things like Amazon Prime music or things like Spotify and let me stream music on something that's not a phone.

Yes, I know what I want is a music streaming thing that's basically an online mp3 player. And I know most people just use their phones but I can't use my phone for that and I don't want to buy a new phone.

I don't really care for Apple, but isn't that basically what an iPod touch is? I have thought about this too though. One that isn't an iPod would be nice, but I'm okay with settling for my phone.

Why don't you just get a cheap second phone? I wanna say you'd be able to just run those apps with the wifi and not have to actually activate it.

I just use my brother's old phone with a memory card that has no service, but is connected to wifi at home, school, and work, for games and mostly music.

I was expecting a self cleaning fleshlight.

It's not for use at home. It'd be used basically as an mp3 player only when I'm at work. And since I don't stay at one building for work and I have to drive for about an hour a work day. I don't have access to constant wifi. And the places I do stay for a little while I'm not sure if they have password protected wifi. I could try and get the app and see if I can use it on my phone while at the places. If it works I could consider getting a cheap phone since my current phone is quite not good. I mean, it doesn't even have enough space for all that many apps. It doesn't have a SD card slot and it has horrible battery life. And if the battery died it would defeat the purpose of having a phone for emergency calls if I need them.

But I'll check on the app, see how big it is and see if I can install it if I delete some things that I don't need.

Well, it works, and at least it has a 3.5mm jack since that's something I needed. I think I'll just have to be picky with what places I use it as far as battery life goes. I guess I could just take a charger with me but I already have enough crap to carry around and don't really need more. This actually will be a good test for how long my battery will last. If I use it to play music for 2 hours and I have like 20% battery left then it has worse battery life than I thought.

I pay for spotify. I have tons of music saved on my phone plus some mp3s. I use a patch cable to connect to the stereo at work or speakers in the car. Works for me.
