Its only difficult because medical education in general is terrible and the administration doesnt care for the well being and efficiency of teaching the material. You can't charge money for services if you're unlicensed, but you can legally call yourself a medical doctor. Licensing is a state level thing. Problem is it hasn't changed with the times. 2 years of med school is basics sciences, where you memorize enzymes and transmitters and pathways that can be easily looked up and that you forget as soon as step 1 is over. Some of that time should be spent teaching business skills, innovation, leadership, communication...
