As a result I would usually just get up without saying anything or even looking at them after that and pretend I just happened to be getting up. When I was pregnant, I had a handicapped parking pass to take my older child to school. My first was born 2 months early, and I was at risk of pre-term labor with my second. I was on bed rest, but I had to get him to school. Usually both spots were taken, though. It wasn't my health (or choices) at stake--it was the baby's.
