Like, they literally just sell baby chicks and quails and stuff in like plastic bags, with no intention of the birds surviving. Basically as living toys for children to play with for a few days, but not care for, so they just die.

Wtf.

some sick people thought it was fun to see the animals moving around. they will just throw them away if the animals died and began to rot, then buy a new one.

Why is it so standard to attack America when talking about something with some other country?

Someone would be like, "This happens is this place!"
And someone would almost always reply like, "Oh yeah? Well in America, THIS happens!"

How do you even know that person is from America?

Honestly the slaughter of animals in American farms is not that bad at all. To scale you can't have every chicken living a long perfect peaceful life on a range.

Just because it looks inhumane to have cows guided down a metal corridir to get systematically slaughtered doesn't mean it actually is all that bad for them. They're killed as efficiently as possible.

Just stop, ffs. It's not even close to the same. Goldfish can live in bowls for a period of time until they need to upgrade to a larger tank, and in general even the people that ignorantly keep them in bowls still feed them/clean the bowl/make an attempt to take care of them.

If you really believe that giving a baby quail to a child to play with like an object, keep in a bag for storage, and not feed it so that it dies of starvation two days later is the same as mostly taking care of a goldfish for years but only inside a too small enclosure is the same, you don't deserve to have access to a computer.

Given that generally the one thing wrong with that setup is that the enclosure is too small, yes. That's generally how the term "mostly" works. Is English your second language by any chance? Or are you just being intentionally thick.

You're literally saying "taking absolutely no care of an animal" = "taking decent care of an animal". Stop and think about that leap for a minute before you vomit out your next self righteous diatribe on your keyboard.

Generally isn't always. Is English your second language by any chance? Or are you just being intentionally thick? Massively fucking up while taking care of something isn't "mostly taking care of them". No one would say letting a child starve to death is "mostly taking care of them" even though you gave them water, shelter and warmth.

You're literally saying "taking absolutely no care of an animal" = "taking decent care of an animal".

Reducing an animals lifespan by literally decades isn't "taking decent care of an animal".

No one who leaves a Goldfish in a overly small bowl, is trying to take care of that Goldfish. It's 2018, it's incredible easy to look up the requirements to care for a Goldfish, if you aren't willing to do that you aren't trying to care for it. If you do you look up the requirements and don't implement thtem you still aren't caring for it.

i don't understand equating this with goldfish.

one is demonstrably worse than the other.

even if it's misguided, people that buy goldfish in bags at least attempt to take care of them

unlike China where these animals are treated as toys and thrown away when they "stop moving"

They attempt to take care of them with inadequate things that lead to a shortened and low quality life if the animal lives

I see fish given away as gifts or prizes all the time. Or used as ornaments for events. and frankly it's sick. They're still living animals.
