I think its possible but I also feel like Thanos is cocky....which is basically one of the reasons he lost in the original comic. Cockiness kills.

he got the time stone, immediately went to Earth to get the last stone and was nearly killed after he got it, I don't think he had any time to do that. Besides Strange was a sitting duck the last time he attempted it.

Yeah, Strange had to sit still and meditate for a while to look into the future. If Thanos tried to do that, he'd be a sitting duck (granted, he could've just warped to an isolated planet and done it there, but he was pretty eager to get the last Stone).

I'm also assuming that being the Sorcerer Supreme or whatever Strange is now gives him more knowledge/insight on how the Time Stone works than what Thanos knew about it. He'd had the thing around his neck for years now by this point, so he would naturally know more techniques than some guy who's only had it for a couple minutes.

Plus...he has all 6 Stones now. The concept of being beaten probably isn't even on his radar anymore.

Thanos is fighting like he's lvl 100 on World of Warcraft and he's surrounded by lvl 1 boars.

Remember when strange time looped forever dying over and over thus even if thor head shotted Thanos it seems it wouldnt matter...

Remember how vision got his ass beat the entire movie despite being powered by an infinity stone.

Remember how Gamora thought she could just commit suicide in front of someone who controls reality?

i think the idea is that strange's actions are now set in stone meaning thanos can only derive the possible futures from that point onwards and one of them is where he inevitably loses(or whatever "the only way" is supposed to mean).
