As a New Yorker for the past 22 years, this sounds absolutely absurd to me. This is effectively the end of public street parking, you have to pay a fee to be able to park in your own neighborhood, and you would be restricted from parking in other neighborhoods. How the hell would you even enforce this without major logistical issues? Theres millions of drivers here, and basically everyone uses public parking. Anybody else find this bizarre?
