19 y/o Jasmine the Wench Barkley, one of the white sorority girls who is under fire after filming herself using the N-word multiple times said SHE'S NOT A RACIST and that she felt "unequal" and "unfair" that she can't use the word as she DEFENDS herself and said everyone should be freely allowed to use that word!!

The William Paterson University student responded to the controversy beccause one of her friends from Penn State was harassed because she said the N-Word to a Chris Brown Song so she retaliated by recording herself doing the same. In one video she said "You're a fat n-word, suck my d". In the second she says "Is it apporpriate for me to say n-word, if it's in a song, and you're singing the lyrics, or is it not appropriate for me to say n-word? Let me know"

She released a long diatribe online and how she believes in "equality" and "respect" among all and that she's deeply sorry but then it came to a halt explaining the N-word has no place in rap music if she can't sing along with it as well. She claims when an interracial group sings along a song with the n-word, people dont' call them out who are not black. But when a white person does it, they are torn down for it, which happened to her friend during a song by Lil Dicky and Chris Brown called Freaky Friday.

She said she never attacked a specific person or group but was just questioning why she have the freedom of the speech to use the n-word whenever she wants without being attacked for it.

In her final piece, she says "The black race has been fighting against segregation for a long time, yet the divide of thosse who can use the n-word only creates more segretation"

She hopes her actions brings together more "equality" for white people to be allowed the same fairness as minorities.

No doubt her apology was universally slammed and many slammed Penn State for not taking action either.

Are you on this blonde witches' side on this??

I don't think you're auto-racist for saying it depending on context. And it is literally her right to say the word.

This does not mean people aren't allowed to respond to you using it

There's literally a bunch of shit you can't say. Go cuss your boss the fuck out and try invoking free speech and see how that goes.

I'll itemize what I was saying for convenience;
- She, like everyone else on the planet, is free to say the word. In most of the world, there is no governing body who dictates that you can't. However, the same goes for calling someone racist. Live by the sword, die by the sword.
- I don't understand why anyone would fight for the right to say the word, personally. On a purely person-to-person level, I am not comfortable using it. Understanding the history, I'm not really sure why it's so damn important for some people to be 'allowed' to say it.
- Whether I think she is racist or not doesn't really matter. Personally, I figure she is probably just stupid and picking a really, really stupid battle that, even in the best case scenario, isn't going to win her any favors in the long run. The important point is that people are just as free to call her racist for it. The fact that you are defending her and trying to shame others into not calling her racist is really weird; like, isn't the whole point that she has the freedom to say what she wants? So why aren't her detractors allowed the same?

What a stupid way to think

There is no malice or ill intent when repeating song lyrics. Calling her a racist or saying she did something wrong is not in any way justified in this scenario.

It's no different than if a school teacher read huck finn out loud. In fact it's even less of a non-issue than that.
