That's actually why I asked. I've always wondered why that isn't a thing. I work with a lot of art students who do figure drawing, and it's always a generic sitting or standing poses here or there. Why don't people get more creative?

I assumed you took those as reference shots for your drawings.

Exactly, though I think the reason is that it's impractical for a model to hold those poses for the dozens of hours an artist would need to draw them realistically. The schools teach us not to use photography but I don't see a problem with it. Karl Gnass does great dynamic drawings in 5 minutes:

Otherwise, the main artist I like who does do more dynamic poses realistically (without photos) is Shane Wolf:

Oh yes, I know about her. I thought it was amazing but people on here disagreed in the past. She seems to have inspired a great deal of people worldwide though.
