disagree, but I still really enjoyed it.

it had the best visuals in the MCU, at least, IMO.

The only thing good about Doctor Strange was watching those buildings move around in 3D.

I'd say it's either Dr Strange or Black Panthers vibranium mine. But for the topic, I say black panther.

they were both about as equally entertaining.

i watched Doctor Strange on a plane though.

Doctor Strange started too slow imo and tried way too hard to be weird and mysterious.

Black Panther felt like a straight up nother Marvel film. but with horrifically stand out, Star Wars prequels level bad CGI in scenes <_<

Right!? It's magic, they can choose to make it look like literally anything and instead it's just kung fu and magic shields and whips.
Reminds me of Harry Potter when they even had the books to show some cool hexes/curses and instead they pick a bunch of light beams.

I enjoyed Dr strange a lot probably because I went into it with low expectations and came out of BP disappointed due to sky high expectations. That said I still think I enjoyed BP more.

It was better by merit of not being your typical super hero movie

I'm glad to hear other people notice this, it pisses me off

like in the early movies, each spell has a name, an effect, and etc., whereas in the later ones, everything just becomes generic DBZ ki blast

I liked both quite a bit but ended up enjoying BP more. I like it because it scratches a similar itch Thor 3 and Guardians does, where it covers more of the cool fictional locations in Marvel as opposed to just being set in New York.

IMO Doctor Strange didn't showcase enough of the cool mystical shit. The reality bending stuff was awesome but to have the conflict mostly be fought with fisticuffs and magic swords was kinda lame. Hopefully now that the character is established the sequel (or Infinity War) will showcase some of the crazy stuff he can do.

I hope Doctor Strange 2 is just straight up Doctor Strange multiverse hopping.

Maybe he even ends up in some Marvel movies that aren't part of the MCU for a brief moment.
