Hell there's been a couple of times when I went to the Gym that the guy in front of me swiped the door and I walked in behind him without swiping in. In this case this was a known member (who the manager knew as a troublemaker for unknown reasons) and some random new guy who he had never seen before. The manager asking the new guy to prove he was a member, and another member of staff asking the older guy to prove he was a member (as she never saw him sign in and didn't know him) really isn't that unreasonable on paper. What's stupid is when they discovered they were both members, they acted like idiots, ran away, called the cops and kicked them out. Instead of admitting fault. They acted like The Admiral acts on here. They aren't both members. One guy is a member and the other is using a 4-day guest pass from the 1st guy's membership. Even though both men properly checked in when they arrived, Oates said an employee interrupted them to again ask for their membership credentials. If they both properly checked in when they arrived, that should be the end of the interaction between the employees and the two men unless safety or policy violations are observed while they're in the establishment.
