I know you get paid weekly, I can probably only drive about 3-4 hours a day on weekdays and all day on weekends

Highly prefer to not pick up drunk people or service animals, or go long distances(for example, I'm not going from let's say... Edison, NJ to Newark NJ. Just not happening.)

My friend at work said he once had to travel to JFK airport in NYC and that he's never doing that again

My friend does it and he's made over $300 a night during events at least. I'm not sure if you can refuse service animals but if someone is belligerently drunk I think you can refuse them.

my car is a lease so I'm not too worried about it. My mileage is already pretty damn low. I've had it for like 2 years now and I'm only at ~5,000 miles

gotta go through verification for both of them. Only thing is my insurance is actually in my moms name(I still pay for it) and I don't have any card stating otherwise so I might be rejected but oh well

The night brims with defiled scum, and is permeated by their rotten stench.
Just think. Now you're all set to hunt and kill to your heart's content.

I think it depends on the area you work. I know I have seen ads for Lyft and it varies by location. I have heard that taxes weren't taken out, but that was quite a while ago so I don't know if that is still true. It is something you probably want to ask so you know if you need to keep some money for tax time.

Dont forget to tell your insurance. I know USAA has special insurance for ride sharing so maybe others do.

Don't Uber/Lyft if you're a timid person. Some customers will ask if you can pick them up later or take them to multiple stops for free.

Remember that Uber is a customer service job so you will get a lot of people trying to ask for discounts or free stuff. They will get mad at you for things beyond your control. They will criticize you because you don't offer free mints/water like other drivers. You will get customers that ask if you can provide change. You will get customers that leave garbage in your car. Have a trashcan and some barf bags in the back. you will get customers that don't even say "hello" or "thank you".
