Not saying I agree with their tactics, but if I recall correctly, PS4 was off to a slow start. Not everyone rushed out to buy one within the first year or two as they did with the PS3. That's just my observations, though. True, but no company releases a new product hoping that it'll sell in a few years and not immediately. And if the PS5 isn't BC we're going to be playing sequels to games that started 2 gens before that you have no way of playing unless they sell a remastered version.
