Oh no he wasn't blocked. He answered a question in a debate before he was elected President saying he'd be willing to hold negotiations with countries like NK, Iran, Cuba, etc the same way Trump is saying he'll negotiate with Korea now (no preconditions) and the Right collectively lost their shit over it (like McCain brought it up a year later, that's how ridiculous they thought it was).
