...an artist who consistently delivers food for thought... I believe they're afraid to think. They fear reality.

Scored a cracking goal against Sweden in 2006 though. Can't ignore that.

J. Cole's lyrics, accompanied with mellow beats, impel you to think about what's real. His antagonists only want noise, syrup, and numbness. J. Cole is therapeutic. They don't want that; they prefer rappers who keep the mind/senses cluttered with chaos and dumbed down. It's fear. J. Cole's antagonists fear rappers who can lyrically tear down egoistic walls, unveiling the superficial life they live. They can't face it. Rather than face truth, i.e., Cole threatens the thing that validates them (their ego), they deflect exposure & cast blame on his skills. Just say you don't like his music. He paints life, motivation for those trapped in desolate conditions. You don't appreciate it, but we do. J. Cole makes music for the conversationalist's backdrop, parked in the whip with ya girl or homies politicking about what matters in life. J. Cole makes music for those long trips home after the semester is over, when you want serenity and wise words, a moment to reflect back. The game needs more talented humble people like J. Cole who've reached stardom but are still tangible & relatable. This inspires the youth.

I don't really listen to most of his stuff, but 2014 Forest Hills Drive was dope, and I like his stuff with more of a message like, Lights Please, Lost Ones, and For Your Eyes Only

Is this the hip-hop version of the Tool copypasta?

I haven't listened to much of his stuff, but I don't remember finding anything offensive to my ears, and I do remember enjoying... something.

You need a certain level of intelligence to really vibe with his music.
