I've heard that gold OoT had a few different software versions on N64. One had blood, one didn't. Minor, but read they do exist.

How does one tell which version is which before purchase? Looking to pick up a CIB copy. Any SN or markings to look for?

Yes, for the us there were versions 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2.

This version number IS printed on the cart, you just need to look at the part of the board sticking out... it's not printed on the box itself.

The main differences is that 1.0 has the Islamic Chant and the Moon+Star block

1.1 is virtually the same, it fixed just a couple of critical bugs... it's ok if you aren't into glitch speedrunning

However, it's 1.2 you want to avoid... it changes all the cuckery and turns Ganons blood green.

On the front of the sticker there's a lunch code... something like NUS-CZGE-USA

NUS-CZGE-USA = NTSC 1.0
NUS-CZLE-USA = NTSC 1.1
NUS-CZLE-USA-1 = NTSC 1.2

Ya, when I said look at the cart I think I was glazed 'cuz I was thinking of the Metroid Prime version difference which are printed in hologram on the bottom of the disc
