Action movies is still the one genre that hasn't had a film where the main hero is a gay man or woman who goes out and saves their lover...unlike comedies, romance, horror etc...where gay heroes were at least represented once in film...even superhero movies doesn't have that kind of plot yet..

But are you ready to watch an action film with a gay hero saves a loved one or are you still iffy about that?

No it doesn't. You know how I know that? Because I don't care if the protagonist is gay. But u don't want to watch gay sex scenes, or kissing or any of that. If it's just pure action, and the implication of a relationship, then that's fine. But there is no reason to make it more than that if you want the general audience, and not just the homosexual audience, to watch your movie.

Batman has had a few different ones + as Bruce he's a womanizer
Spiderman has Mary Jane and even drama with Gwen in the mix.

Most superheroes have some chick they're either courting or are simply trying to protect because they love them. That's a common trope for the genre.

So if there was to be a gay male character, he doesn't need to have a gay pride flag for a cape, speak effeminately, and shout from the rooftops constantly "I'm gay!" but it would be right in line with regular superhero movies if they never really directly mentioned their sexuality but clearly had some romantic interest or something of the sort.

Okay, personally, and most people here wouldn't agree, but personally, I don't want to see that even if it was a straight couple. That sort of shit should be kept out of movies in general, but especially movies with children's superhero characters.

PG romance would be entirely implied. After that, it goes into the softcore porn territory, which is in practically every movie now.

It is only a matter of time before we get a Storm Watch film and when that happens we will get Midnighter and Apollo.
