I get calls from "debt collectors" but they never ask for me by name (or any specific person) nor do they tell me what agency they work for. Just "I'm a debt collector."

Also the calls are coming from Jamaica.

I just got a call for "urgent new info for those with student debt." The scammers are out in force these days.

Just got a call from a credit card compay that is nameless, but its all ok tho my credit is in good standing but they just want to introduce some offers i can take.

That and the student loan forgiveness that i was only able to collect a year ago, glad their year is dog years however.

I have a lot of fun when it's an actual person. Once a random one with a heavy Indian accent threatened to sue me for everything I owned if I didn't pay off my nonexistent credit card debt.

I got a call from the "FBI" telling me I had an arrest warrant out for me because of money I owed.

My folks just got a text about suspicious activity on their bank account at a bank they don't have an account with.

I'm constantly harassed about the credit card debt I've racked up despite paying the bill in full twice a month. (andI'm on my 12th final warning at least)

My uncle's been hit up for money to make warrants for his arrest go away. (and we have cops in the family so I think we'd know about that).

You know, if tech companies can crack down on even the mildest of hate speech, can't they put some effort into stopping actaul fraud attempts?
