For those who aren't aware, gacha games are usually mobile JRPGs where players are able to use real money to "roll" for the chance to obtain new characters or items, similar to lootboxes. Fire Emblem Heroes, Love Live School Idol Festival, Fate/Grand Order and Granblue Fantasy are some popular examples, though there are tons of others.

I used to play Love Live, and currently play Grand Order, on which I've spent about $100. I'm curious where that puts me in relation to other PotD fail whales.

Yup. I've been playing Final Fantasy Brave Exvius pretty regularly but spent no more than $7 for the in-game money. I've been having fun with the game though so might put more money in later just to support the developers. Hopefully I control myself as I have read some folks dropping $300+ on one character.

I play Dragon Ball. Spent about $20 on it some time back, which I saw as "buying" the game. I figured it has provided me entertainment during times I'm not able to do anything more interesting, and I was relatively contented with my account at that point. I just can't see myself spending on it like some people do, like for any more I could buy a real game that has nothing to do with fondleslabs.

I refuse to spent money on consumable microtransactions out of principle.
