person below me is some lady, and supposedly she owns cats just like me. but she takes offense to my cat running around when hyper, and jumping off my bed. just now he had a burst of energy and then I pet him on my bed to settle him down and then he jumped down. right after he jumped down, I heard 3 loud angry thumps. the lady is angry to hear a hyper cat on easter morning. This is why I wish I was on the ground floor so I didn't have to worry about this. too bad we can't switch places

Its just the odd thud.

It could be a lot worse for them. its not like you're playing loud music.

People have been known to thump back on the floor. I suggest using a block of wood on the floor and then a hammer on the block of wood to avoid damage to the actual floor. Only do that when she starts. You need to let her know that little noise from you can be so much worse when she complains about it. She will probably do more damage to her ceiling then you'll do to the floor.
I once did the banging on the floor when the down stairs person played music very loudly at a bad time of day. I never heard them play their music as loudly again. My guess is the person below them complained as well.

Sounds like she is a mean old bitty

I agree throw on some music with the bass turned up. Who complains about a freaking cat being too noisy

Shouldn't really have cats indoors unless it's for medical reasons. Still just jump up and down on the floor. That'll teach her!

Clear enough but that's my opinion I suppose. I've never had a indoor cat. Although with that said I've always let them outside when Kittens so they get more used to that.

Suppose they have less risk of been hit by a car. My last cat I have for around 15 years. He got a mouth ulcer and had to be put to sleep though. Still he had a good life.
