Just beat the game. I hope this was sold on like budget price when it came out all those years ago because it's like a glorified dlc of black flag.

Speaking of, you'd think the game would be good since it has sailing similar to ac 4 but the winter ice snow setting is really meh compared ac 4's sunny Caribbean setting. Still, that's not where the problem lies.

The problem is the game is tedious. Never mind the hilariously stupid story since that's an ac staple, or the bugginess because that's also a trademark of ac. It's just kind of annoying, all the little things it does wrong that stack up. It doesn't fix any of the complaints from ac 4, is actually even more buggy, and none of the changes are really welcome.

Basically you play as an assassin turned templar, and when I read the premise of the story I knew they were going to do it in a really contrived, cheesy way. And I was right. The protagonist and the annoying Irish accents aren't great either, everyone in the story is annoying as hell.

Also it's weird that they overloaded the game with collection quest nonsense but the game is so short that there's really no point to doing any of it. They went back to giving you money just like that and very little to spend it on, and the whole paying real money for costumes and items is just fucking lol.

All in all, ac rogue is more like ac 3 than it is like ac 4, and that's where the problem lies. I'm just annoyed at people that were telling me that ac rogue was underrated and better than 4 because when I finally did play it, I got a half game that deserves to be forgotten.
