I never even considered becoming an NRA member until David Hogg.

Every time a mass shooting occurs gun sales go up.

The NRA and other groups are great at working

1. The liberals are gonna take ur guns!

and

2. If you just had MORE guns these shootings wouldn't happen!

And so people on mass buy guns following the event

You guys do know liberals are pushing an 'assault weapons' ban right now that bans about 90% of all firearms, right?

Or that Obama and Hillary lambasted the Supreme Court when they overturned de-facto gun bans?

Or that Obama and Hillary both advocated Australia's gun control policies in America - which is a de-facto gun ban?

Why do liberals lie and say that the majority don't want a gun ban?

Obama and Hillary are most liberals? They sound like 2 Democrats.

You're really gonna hang your hat on that, and ignore the gun ban in Congress right now, that has over 150 co-sponsors?

We all know Congress and lobbies represent the average American

Who's lobbying for a gun ban?

My bad. Just meant to sarcastically put Congress as representing the average person.

We also all know that politicians have NEVER co-sponsored a bill that they know is going to fail simply so they can use it as a talking point later on. That's NEVER happened

What 'talking point?' You really think saying 'my opponent didn't or wouldn't have voted to strip 90 percent of firearms fom law-abiding citizens' is a sound political strategy?

The NRA doesn't want me. Clearly as a liberal gun owner I don't even exist.

Depends on your district and if you're facing a tough primary challenge. Roughly looking through the names that are on the bill as co-sponsors it doesn't surprise me at all. You seem to be under the idea that there aren't districts in the country that are in heavy support of this ban and that politicians do things like this all the time for that very reason.

So, 'most liberals' don't want a gun ban, but most liberals in Congress co-sponsored one because their constituents want one...

Surely it's not because almost all Democrats in the House are signed on as co-sponsors to the most comprehensive federal gun ban in US history.

Surely it's not because a former Supreme Court Justice called for a repeal of the Second Amendment.

Surely it's not because a gun control advocate stood up in front of hundreds of thousands of people and said, "If they give an inch, we take a mile."

It's a mystery.

Basically liberals want a gun ban, loudly exclaim which weapons they want to ban and how the second amendment is outdated, but then get upset when we think they want a gun ban because we might actually do something in response like supporting pro 2A politicians or organizations.

"Hey guys, we want to ban guns and we'll support such legislation but just pretend that we don't so it will make things easier for us."

So their constituents don't?

Then why co-sponsor one?
