I dont think its meant to run high end games or constant 1080 video streaming. Sure its sometimes slow, but the point of those entry level laptops is to browse, watch youtube at 720p max res, word processor, and maybe play low quality games.

Yup.

Reliable build quality starts at $800 or if you want to be safe $1000. You have to pay me $2000 for me to buy a $1000 laptop. So much can be done on a PC.

at that point you might as well just buy a $300 chromebook that is actually built well and doesn't look like a pile of garbage (asus c302.. etc).
