He also dies in the mainline universe for a bit, leading the creation of Batman Inc. I don't think Storm has ever died in the main timeline. Or Iceman, or Angel. Deadly wounded in Birth of the Demon and Endgame, but brought back with magic pools. Twentyseven is basically that Bruce got clones that keeps the Batman legend alive after his death. Batman in Earth Two died in the first issue, but I guess that doesnt count. Wally... ehm... Damian stopped his heart once...
