His creativity and innovation is admirable:

In the show, Henson began experimenting with techniques that changed the way in which puppetry was used on television, including using the frame defined by the camera shot to allow the puppet performer to work from off-camera. He believed that television puppets needed to have "life and sensitivity"[12] and began making characters from flexible, fabric-covered foam rubber, allowing them to express a wider array of emotions at a time when many puppets were made of carved wood.[5] A marionette's arms are manipulated by strings, but Henson used rods to move his Muppets' arms, allowing greater control of expression. Additionally, he wanted the Muppet characters to "speak" more creatively than was possible for previous puppets, which had random mouth movements, so he used precise mouth movements to match the dialogue.

I wish he were alive. Also, I use to have a mailman that looked like him. His name was also Jim. We use to say hi to him everyday. And he always knew everybody by name and would give us the mail without having to open the mailbox. He was really nice.

Okay. I read it.

It's a lot of nothing. One guy claims to have seen Disney attend Nazi meetings, he hosted Leni Riefenstahl, and his cartoons didn't do enough to demonize the Nazis. Jewish film producers in America had done the same -- including immediately following Kristallnacht.

It was business. The Warner Bros. were the only ones in Hollywood to fully boycott the Nazi regime because everyone else still wanted to make international money. It doesn't mean that Walt personally shook hands with Hitler and promised to give all his villainous characters Semitic features.

Not only is he good at puppets, he's also hilarious and one of the funniest and most charming improvisers I can think of. Watching old videos of him improvising as Kermit, whether he's riffing against Miss Piggy in unscripted bloopers or playing with kids on set, he's always funny and witty.
