They do not complete any of the work priced. They create a schedule on a spreadsheet They check in regularly to see if things are going smoothly. They very often have zero actual experience doing anything in the field and do not understand the work being done. They regularly get paid 85g+ per year to know absolutely nothing relevant and question people who do know. Also on that line of thought, safety officers. If you are the best in the world at something you deserve to be paid because there is literally no equivalent to replace you. Lebron James adds ability to whatever team he is playing on that cannot be replaced. IMO some lobbyists, lawyers, and corporate CEOs are completely overpaid for what they do.
