I have a USB camera for work and I'm trying to rig it up to record video in the highest definition possible.
The camera and accompanying software can go up to 3264x2448 in Picture mode, but it can only go up to 1080 in video recording mode and it also doesn't let me rotate or zoom or anything once in Video mode. Most other "free recording softwares" I've found only allow up to 1080 for external devices as well. As far as I know, this is more of a software limitation than a hardware limitation. the product even advertises specifically "Streaming" at 2448, but the software only allows 1080 for recording. Can anyone explain this to me? As a work-around I just set up picture mode for maximum 2448 resolution, then just run an external screen recorder where I can zoom and rotate at will (and zooming will bring me close to the 2448 resolution). https://www.ipevo.com/prods/Ziggi-HD_Plus_USB_Document_Camera This is the product at hand. "Enjoy smooth, lag-free live streaming at up to 30 fps (at full HD) and up to 15 fps (at 3264 x 2448 pixels)" "Up to 30 fps live video capture (at full HD)" Full HD aka 1080 Thanks! --- http://i.imgur.com/xHbbYI6.gif http://cdn1.sbnation.com/assets/3386905/G2-Ortiz-Slam.gif Anything too hard in life is not worth doing. -John McGuirk ...
