Lidar and radar should have picked up her presence. Uber's self driving cars just suck. It should have detected her given that she was in the middle of the road when it hits her. Unfortunately, it's impossible to tell what the driver might have seen had he been paying attention. Could have seen more, could have seen less. From the perspective of the camera, I wouldn't have been able to react in time.
