That's kinda a poor analogy because if you're offered a spot on the practice squad/to practice with the team almost anyone who actually wants to play will take it.

If i propose, like i did, it means we were together for years and living together and i confused if she said no. She was cool and was waiting but also scared to push for it.

Tldr its obvious shed say yes and i dont know what would happen if she said no.

Yeah my wife actually asked me if I would marry her before I actually really proposed to her. That was a pretty big hint that she wanted me to ask and I would have been dumb to not realize that.

This was something I thought when I was a kid. Like I thought if you proposed and the woman said no, it meant you had to break up. So I thought proposing was like a huge risk.
