This. People who act like it is cause they got rejected aren't really in the relationship out of love IMO.

Not necessarily, though it probably won't last much longer, it the response wasn't at least something along the line of "not yet". If one person wants marriage & the other isn't at least open, the relationship is bound to collapse just on such a critical conflict.

The male ego is a fragile thing. Saying no to marriage is apparently tantamount to saying that they no longer love you.

I mean, as far as trying to be serious, yes. But that doesn't mean you cant still keep her around as a fuck buddy.

That's kinda a poor analogy because if you're offered a spot on the practice squad/to practice with the team almost anyone who actually wants to play will take it.

There's always next season if you do. You'll probably just get laughed off the field the next year if you don't.

^ This is all true, some people need more time before accepting a marriage proposal.

So there are people on CE who'd just immediately dump the girl if they said no. Even if it was several years into a relationship? You guys are wild

Like you just see relationships as some kind of video game with no continues and 'marriage proposal' is the final boss

yes

if she intended to marry you in the future she could just say yes and then wait on the engagement

if she says no it's pretty much over

Yes you do. She likely is just a hoe or more worried about giving up hoe freedoms. Only a cuck would stay...and then probably be litterally cucked.

It's not necessarily like that tho. Some people are intimidated by the concept of marriage

People, you never propose to a girl unless she starts wanting you to.

If i propose, like i did, it means we were together for years and living together and i confused if she said no. She was cool and was waiting but also scared to push for it.

Tldr its obvious shed say yes and i dont know what would happen if she said no.

This is true. Theyll probably say something about the last name "Ill just add it to the end of mine"

She might as well said "whenever you ask its a yes"

Yeah my wife actually asked me if I would marry her before I actually really proposed to her. That was a pretty big hint that she wanted me to ask and I would have been dumb to not realize that.

If you were dating her for several years odds are she isn't a "hoe". Based off how you talk you seem too immature to grasp the idea of being intimidated by marriage

As long as there's a good reason/proper conversation about why, not necessarily.
If they're too young/stupid to sort it out, probably and it was most likely for the best.

This was something I thought when I was a kid. Like I thought if you proposed and the woman said no, it meant you had to break up. So I thought proposing was like a huge risk.
