When you work in accounts recievable and your company uses the worst fucking accounting firm ever, and you constantly have to contact either them or other companies to clean up the mess. I have a ton of menu options and extensions memorized.

This doesn't work nearly as often as it used to. When you do that now you either get:

- Thank you. Goodbye. *click*
or
- That is not a valid response. *repeats menu options*

that is possible, i changed jobs like 1.5 years ago so i haven't been making corporate calls since then

This is pretty common when you work in a managed services NOC. When I worked in the NOC at my old job, most of my day was spent calling AT&T, AT&T MIS, Level3, and CenturyLink to either report troubles or get the status of open trouble tickets.

I have all of those numbers and relevant options memorized, and I haven't worked there for almost 2 years now. I still deal with AT&T and CenturyLink as a network engineer because those are two of our providers.
