Well. Mike Pence supports an organization called Focus on the Family that has been pushing gay conversion therapy for decades.

I dont think its petty to draw the focus more on LGBT rights and do something awesome like create a childens book where there are 2 guy rabbits who fall in love.

I think the pettiness comes from contrasting this to mike Pences whatever that loon is doing. Super happy that the proceeds go to charity, it just does seem to me a tad juvenile that it took Mike Pence being Mike Pence for Jon Oliver to do something so great like this

If this hasn't been said yet, Oliver fully admitted on his show that it was largely a petty move. Doesn't excuse the pettiness, but it's at least honest, and the charity softens it a bit.
