You should've just mentioned something even if you didn't learn anything new, just said something interesting that stands out about it and keep the conversation going. The way you ended the conversation means she either just has to say something like "oh okay" which goes nowhere, or she has to find a new topic entirely to bring up. Just because she hasn't responded to that doesn't mean she's ghosting you though, she might just not have anything to say about that.
